ALTOONA, PA – The next installment in Penn State Altoona’s historic video project provides information on Edwin Zoller. Zoller was a husband, father, teacher, veteran, philosopher, and painter who lived near Tyrone, Pennsylvania. He taught painting and philosophy at Penn State Altoona and is best known for his paintings which followed the style of Abstract Expressionism. His book, “Notes of a Painter: The Writings and Work of Edwin W. Zoller”, is available in the catalog of university libraries.
Each Penn State Altoona landmark video project features voiceover narration accompanied by scanned photos and newspaper clippings. The video series is a way for the archives to be viewed and enjoyed during the pandemic and to reach more people interested in the history of the college or looking for a glimpse into life on its foundation’s campus. nowadays.
