The Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten Registration Fair will take place on April 14

MUNCIE, Ind. – Enrollment for all new and returning students for the 2022-23 school year begins today, April 11, at Muncie Community Schools (MCS). Parents and guardians are encouraged to visit any MCS building for assistance with enrolling their children. They can visit anytime during the school day for the rest of this school year with special overtime from 4-6 p.m. tonight.

In order to expedite the registration process, parents should bring with them:

  • Current identification
  • Proof of residence
  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Student vaccination record

Anyone who does not need help can register online at MCS has simplified the process for parents and guardians of returning students and added video tutorials for additional assistance. By registering their students early, parents and guardians will make it easier for principals to anticipate the appropriate number of teachers and support staff they need in their buildings on the first day of school, which is set. to August 9.

Additionally, MCS will be hosting a special registration fair for Kindergarten and Preschool students on Thursday, April 14 from 4-6 p.m. at the Muncie Fieldhouse. This will be an opportunity to meet MCS teachers and administrators and get answers to your questions. The event will include other MCS partners like On My Way Pre-K, Meridian Health Services, Muncie Boys & Girls Club, MuncieBy5 and others. There will also be school mascots, a bouncy house and free food.
