Launching in October 2022: Exit Planning Institute Miami Chapter

MIAMI, Fla., September 19, 2022 /24-7 PressRelease/ — The Exit Planning Institute™, in cooperation with a collaborative team of Miami’s top advisors and market leaders, are joining forces to launch the Miami Chapter of Exit Planning Institute on October 14, 2022, hosted at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, The Watson Island Ballroom (Floor 2), 1633 N Bayshore Dr, Miami, FL 33132. This local is different from many other professional networking organizations in the market . The PPE Chapter is cross-functional, meaning it attracts and engages advisors, experts, thought leaders, media and business owners from diverse backgrounds. These leaders engage in exit planning and value acceleration education that ensures local market continuity and improves success rates for transitioning businesses as owners look to their future.

As evidenced by the vast amount of recent research, including the State of Owner Readiness™ survey, the US landscape is poised to transform six million businesses over the next 5-10 years. Baby boomer business owners are retiring at a rapid pace, and these same owners own 66% of all businesses in the United States of America. According to recent research conducted by EPI, most baby boomer owners have failed to consider their ultimate exit transition. Statistics show that only two out of ten companies in the market are selling. Without proper planning, owners run the risk of getting a lower price than they need for their business or, even worse, not selling at all.

“Selling your business is arguably the highlight of your career. Planning and preparing for this process is key to reaching a beneficial conclusion for the business owner. There is a clear need to improve exit readiness, which is why I am excited to launch the Miami Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute alongside my esteemed partners. We will come together to cooperate with, support and educate business owners and their trusted advisors on how to optimize outcomes for all stakeholders during the exit process.

– Diego Obando, CEPA, AWMA, AAMS, President, Miami Chapter
