Israel has no justification for atrocities, follows expansionist philosophy: Analyst

Israel follows an “expansionist philosophy” through the forced eviction of the Palestinian people from their own lands, according to a political analyst.

Michael Springmann, a Washington-based author and former US diplomat in Saudi Arabia, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Friday while commenting on the Tel Aviv regime’s usual acts of terror in Palestine.

“There is absolutely no justification for the usual acts of terror of the apartheid entity in occupied Palestine. There are only explanations,” Springmann said.

Quoting Gilad Atzmon, a British novelist of Israeli descent, Springmann described the Zionists as “tribal” and said that the Israeli regime had an “expansionist, racist and unique philosophy, which seeks to purify itself of the Palestinians”.

The analyst also highlighted the support Tel Aviv receives from the West and the influence of Israeli Jews on the American political and economic system.

“Zionism has the full backing of the United States, despite the fact that Jews make up only 2% of its population of 330 million,” Springmann said.

“Israel, through its cat paws in America, controls the elections, the news media and education,” he added. “Jewish organizations provide large sums of money to American politicians, Jews hold influential positions in newspapers, television and radio, and they exercise significant control over textbook and university commentary on Israel.

Springmann also pointed out the losses that Israel has inflicted on the Palestinians in more than 70 years, arguing that providing them with monetary compensation will not be enough.

“The Zionist oppressors of Palestine and other Muslim nations should do more than provide monetary compensation to the Palestinians for their losses since 1948. Israel should allow the return of the Palestinians it has forced into exile for nearly 75 years,” three quarters of a century. The Israelis should return the houses they stole from the Palestinians. ”

“And the money for all of this should not come from the United States and Europe, the main supporters of the Zionists, but from Jews around the world – from their businesses in America and elsewhere as well as from Jews and Jewish businesses. in the Zionist entity, ”he added.

Springmann’s comments come as Israeli forces demolish Palestinian homes and structures in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, which is near the old walled city of Jerusalem al-Quds, for the construction of a new outpost colony.

Under an Israeli court ruling, some 28 Palestinian families face the threat of forced eviction from the neighborhood.

In a statement Thursday, the Red Crescent said at least 22 Palestinians were injured overnight when Israeli troops attacked their rally protesting the harsh deportation order.

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas called on the Palestinian people everywhere, especially in the occupied West Bank and areas occupied by Israel since 1948, to hold a sit-in at the al-Aqsa mosque on the last nights of Ramadan until l ‘Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan next week.

Israel occupied al-Quds East Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the Six Day War in 1967. It then had to withdraw from Gaza but placed the enclave under siege.
